Seacraft E/O Power Converter — full control of external devices
The Seacraft power converter provides a dedicated electro-optical (E/O) output for powering external 6–12 V devices (heating systems, lights and other E/O-based equipment) directly from the DPV. The output is controlled and monitored from the scooter display, allowing selection of power level, ON/OFF control and real‑time monitoring of power draw and remaining runtime.
Operation
- Activate the power outlet menu: on gear 0, hold both triggers for 3 seconds.
- Use the Seacraft piezo gear buttons to select desired power level or set the outlet to OFF.
- A short press on any button returns to the normal driving screen so you can drive and use the E/O device simultaneously.
- Switch to the monitoring screen with a short press of both triggers (any gear) to view the outlet voltage and power drawn from the DPV battery.
Output levels and capacity
- Five selectable output levels corresponding to approximately 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% and 100% heating power of 12 V systems.
- Corresponding voltage steps: 6.0 V, 7.5 V, 9.4 V, 10.7 V, 12 V.
- Maximum allowed power from the output: 150 W.
- 12 V output supports most 11.1 V and 14.4 V light heads.
E/O adapters
- Available as twin or single cable adapters. The twin adapter allows two loads (for example, personal heating and lighting) to be connected simultaneously; the single adapter supports one load.
- Custom cable solutions for external devices (6–12 V, max 150 W) available on request.
Hermetic charging port
- Seacraft uses a hermetic charging port connector to improve safety and reduce flooding risk in case of cable damage.
- The charging port is waterproof up to 11 bar (100 m) even without a closed cap. When the E/O cable adapter is connected, the connector is waterproof to depths > 300 m.
Compatibility and installation
- The power converter requires an internal power converter installed in the electronic chamber. Installation is performed only at the Seacraft factory or by authorized service centers.
- Currently compatible with Seacraft FUTURE and GHOST (2020 models) with serial numbers higher than #128. These units have electronic boards designed to accept the E/O outlet.
- For new scooters, order the E/O outlet to be factory-installed (additional surcharge applies). For upgrades, confirm your S/N is > #128 and contact Seacraft or your dealer.
- Upgrades require replacing the charging port and charger connector; include a compatible charger with the DPV delivered for the upgrade. Some charging port caps may need replacement or modification to be compatible with the hermetic connector.
